Donna L. Smithers, CPA is the owner of Smithers Pinnacle Accounting, LLC where she consults with small business clients, Churches and other Not-For-Profits to meet their business goals by providing full service accounting and tax services. She has an extensive background in implementing and maintaining accounting systems, overseeing accounting system conversions, implementing operational improvements, ensuring proper internal controls are established and followed and training in all facets of accounting.

Mrs. Smithers graduated Magna Cum Laude from La Salle University and began her professional career at Coopers & Lybrand, CPAs (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers), one of the ‘Big 4’ Certified Public Accounting firms.  She supervised audits in various industries that allowed her to become a leader in the accounting industry in Philadelphia. She went on to become a Certified Public Accountant by obtaining her CPA license in Pennsylvania. She also continued her education by receiving a Master’s Degree in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She then became the top Finance staff for two quasi-government agencies within the City of Philadelphia for the next eighteen years as the Director of Finance at the Redevelopment Authority of Philadelphia and the Vice President of Financial Reporting at the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp.  She now owns her accounting firm where she continues to apply her accounting and business skills to improve her client’s businesses.
